Lean Supply Chain

What We Can Do?

Supply chain usually encompasses three areas: Production planning and control (PPC), purchase and logistics. PPC mediates between marketing and factory. Purchase readies materials for production. Factory makes products. Logistics delivers them to customers. Typically three modules are in the domain of supply chain: Capacity planning, factory planning, and logistics planning.
The following are general steps of our methodology:
  1. We will study and map your supply chain processes (Ex: "Order-to-delivery)
  2. Map "As Is" or "Current Condition" with appropriate tools (IDEF, VSM, etc.)
  3. Discuss and debate the drawbacks of this "As Is" model against the four rules of TPS:
Rule1:  All work to be highly specified as to
                 *. Content
                 *. Sequence
                 *. Timing
                 *. Outcome
Rule 2:  Every Customer- Supplier relationship must be
                 *. Direct
*. Unambiguous yes or no way to send request or receive responses
Rule 3:  The path way for every product and service must be
                 *. Simple
                 *. Direct
Rule 4:  Any improvement must be made in accordance with
                 *. Scientific method
*. Under the guidance of the teacher
*. At the lowest possible level of the Organization

    3.    Create " As Should Be" or "Future Condition" map
    4.    Implement the map with appropriate software  (finite capacity scheduling software)
    5.    Define and implement supply chain metrics
